Distinguished Researcher in Bio-Nano Interfaces and Carbon-Based Therapeutics

Alberto Bianco is a senior researcher at the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) at the Institut de Biologie Moléculaire et Cellulaire in Strasbourg. Renowned globally for his interdisciplinary approach, he combines chemistry, biology, and nanoscience to develop safe and effective carbon nanomaterials—such as functionalized graphene and carbon nanotubes—for a wide range of biomedical applications.

His pioneering work in the biocompatibility and functionalization of nanomaterials has opened new frontiers in cancer therapy, diagnostics, and regenerative medicine. Bianco has published extensively in high-impact journals and is recognized for his efforts in bridging nanotechnology with translational medicine.

Dr. Bianco is a Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences and serves on numerous editorial boards. His research not only enhances the performance of therapeutic delivery systems but also lays the foundation for the next generation of personalized medicine.
