Prof. Weber's contributions extend beyond academia into global energy policy and industry. He was instrumental in founding the Global Alliance for Solar Energy Research Institutes, uniting leading solar research institutions from the USA, Japan, and Germany to promote PV technologies on a terawatt scale.
In recognition of his lifelong commitment to renewable energy, Prof. Weber received the SOLAR FUTURE. TODAY Visionary Influencers Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019.
