Prof. Guohe Huang is a world-renowned expert in environmental systems engineering, specializing in waste management, climate modeling, and energy-environment planning under uncertainty. As a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair and Executive Director of the Institute for Energy, Environment and Sustainable Communities at the University of Regina, he has led over 100 research projects addressing sustainability challenges across energy, water, and waste sectors.

With more than 1,300 peer-reviewed publications and an H-index exceeding 107, Prof. Huang is one of Canada’s most highly cited environmental scientists. His innovative work in stochastic modeling, fuzzy optimization, and integrated resource planning has significantly influenced environmental policy and decision-making across the globe.
